Originally from Queens, Gina Cuomo developed her love of cinema at an early age. She began her career working in multiplexes as a teenager in Denver before transitioning into the nonprofit sector. In 2006, she joined the Denver Film Society, where she spent 16 years as Director of Operations, overseeing the organization’s year-round cinema, Sie FilmCenter, and its portfolio of film festivals.

A dedicated advocate for film exhibition, Gina has been involved with Art House Convergence since 2011, serving on its Transitional Working Group during COVID-19. She is currently the Conference Producer for IND/EX 2026.

In 2022, Gina founded Cinema Operations Consulting. Her recent work includes consulting for Coral Gables Art Cinema, leading operations for Vidiots Foundation during the opening of its theatre and video store in 2023, and supporting the expansion of Coolidge Corner Theatre in 2024. 

Aside from her love of the cinematic experience, Gina is an avid baseball fan and a loyalist to the hit television phenomenon LOST.
